Ms. Aliyeva brings 15+ years experience as an accomplished ICT marketing manager and international project administrator with government, senior professionals and industry stakeholders to her project work. She has designed and implemented commercial and government ICT project plans that met national priorities and business targets, and is particularly adept at working with cross-cultural and multi-function teams. Ms. Aliyeva is fluent in Russian, Azerbaijani and English, and brings a refreshingly helpful perspective to our firm, partners and clients regarding the diverse cultures, business dynamics, and trends that characterize Central Asia and the fifteen countries of the former Soviet Union.
Previously, Ms. Aliyeva served as a Business Development and Marketing Manager for REL Express in California; she managed accounts with major manufacturers and retailers and addressed supply chain challenges, resulting in dramatically improved shipment and customer response times, and reduced operational costs. She drove additionally operational efficiencies through improved information flows, and her liaison work between clients, clients, vendors, management partners and sales and support staff.
In Baku, Azerbaijan, Ms. Aliyeva served as Head of Department of International Relations at SINAM Ltd. She represented the global ICT firm in trade missions to the US, and at international forums and exhibition in Germany and Russia. She negotiated and managed the firm’s participation in global conferences and trade shows in partnership with government officials from more than 10 countries (Russia, US, UK, Ukraine, others) and global suppliers (Alcatel, CISCO, HP, Intel, Microsoft, others). In her earlier Marketing and Business Development position, she developed marketing strategies that increased the firm’s revenues and market share in Azerbaijan and abroad.
Her visible success record led to the Azerbaijan’s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies (MICT)’s direct request for her support on the organizing committee for the United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development Conference and for Regional Ministerial Meetings. It also led to our early observation of her work, and request that she join our firm.
Ms. Aliyeva supports Global Resources’ projects and clients with her market research, liaison work with diplomats, top government officials, and ICT stakeholders, and regional logistics support. Her tenacious nature, frank “market reality” assessments, outstanding people skills, and ICT sector experience lends great value to our client’s market planning, multi-party negotiations, and project implementations.
