Ricardo Cuervo is a Senior Consulting Associate with Global Resources, Inc., where he provides senior expertise to Boards, executive teams, and global technology and business firms regarding technology and digital transformation, big data analytics and algorithmic business development, and designing and implementing technologies, data, and algorithms to drive business value.
Ricardo brings over 20 years of experience in digital transformation, data analytics, entrepreneurship and IT, and operations reengineering and cost restructuring to his client work. Working in Africa, Europe, South America and the US, he has delivered over $900M in profit improvement as a consultant to C-Level executives and senior managers in global corporations across a variety of industries including retail, health care, financial services, insurance, media and entertainment, oil, and manufacturing. A sample of his clients include American Express, BP, Citi, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Reader’s Digest and Sears. Ricardo’s earlier work as a McKinsey and Co. and Mitchell Madison Group consultant led to major organizational and operational transformations, and cost reductions for clients such as American Express and MCI (Verizon).
His corporate business acumen is amplified by his entrepreneurial and lean business development skills as founder of Genostyle (a B2B company bringing algorithm-driven digital solutions to apparel retailers), BFF Best Fashion Friend (an innovative B2C mobile app and web-based fashion social networking platform), and Raiz Mantenimiento (an end-to-end provider of facilities and supply chain services).
Ricardo earned his MBA degree with distinction from NYU - Stern School of Business, graduating among the top ten percent of his class. He also holds three degrees from the University of Los Andes (Colombia): a Master of Science in Engineering, a Master’s equivelant in Finance, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Ricardo has also served as assistant professor at the University of Los Andes (Colombia’s #1 ranked university), teaching engineering, accounting, finance and math courses.
Ricardo is the author of “Fashion Styling Analytics – A Proposed Methodology to Sequence Brands’ Style DNA based on Application of Innovative Analytics”; the data analytics / business transformation white paper is the cornerstone of Genostyle’s unique value proposition.
